First Program Announcements

It’s time to reveal the first details of the program!

This year, the Main Competition will once again take you on a journey through the most fascinating corners of contemporary genre cinema. To kick things off, we’re serving up the dark body horror film “Saccharine” by Natalie Erika James, the black comedy “I Want Your Sex” by Gregg Araki, the folk horror film “Motherwitch” by Minos Papas, and the thriller “The Usurpers” (“Imposters”) by Caleb Phillips. But this is just the beginning—we’ll be announcing more competition titles in the coming days.

In addition to the Main Competition, we also invite you to screenings in the bunker under W4, which will be transformed into a cyber hideout, where we’ll present two completely different cinematic visions of the hacker culture. First, we’ll dive into the neon-lit ’90s with the cult classic *Hackers*, and then we’ll travel to a darker era of the Internet in *Who Am I. You Can Be Who You Want*. All of this amidst a sea of cables, monitors, and electronic static. The program also features “Classics in 4K,” where you’ll see restored versions of *The Others*, “Dead Evil 2,” and “Don’t Look Now,” the U.F.O. – Unidentified Filmawka Object section, prepared in collaboration with Filmawka, the OctoShorts short film competition, “Ośmiorniczki” (OctoKid) – a program for the youngest viewers—and “Eurosleaze”—a showcase of European exploitation cinema, where eroticism meets horror, thrillers, and fantasy cinema.
