Polish Premiere of “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma” to Open Octopus Film Festival
We are thrilled to announce that “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma”, the latest feature from Jane Schoenbrun (I Saw the TV Glow), will open the 9th edition of Octopus Film Festival. The screening will also mark the film’s official Polish premiere.
Kris (Hannah Einbinder), a young and talented filmmaker, is given the opportunity of a lifetime: a major studio hires her to direct a remake of the cult horror franchise Camp Miasma, a series that captivated audiences throughout the 1980s and 1990s. In search of inspiration, Kris visits Billy (Gillian Anderson), the star of the original films. What begins as an interview soon turns into something far more unexpected.
Fresh from its acclaimed premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, where it became one of the breakout titles of the event and earned rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films of the summer.
More festival announcements are coming soon!
Festival passes go on sale on 17 June.
